What Is Probate?

Probate is a legal proceeding that occurs after one’s death to allow the orderly validation of estate planning documents, the handling of assets and the payment of debts. This process is overseen by the probate court to ensure that the estate (property) of the deceased is properly administered and distributed. Attorney Paul Burns will make sure your probate situation is properly cared for and handled every step of the way. With our office, you will never be handed off to a clerk or paralegal, and you’ll receive the careful attention your case deserves.

Trust Administration

There are many advantages that a trust has over a simple will. A revocable living trust is a legal mechanism/contract for gathering assets in one place, and it is an important financial management tool. The trustee of your living trust can manage all your assets. You can serve as the trustee of your trust while you are living, and you can appoint a successor trustee to manage your financial affairs should you become incapacitated and/or pass away. A revocable living trust is an excellent planning tool in the case of future disability.
